I developed diabetes six years ago, and at the time I was still working. I have since then developed high blood pressure too. Within the last two years I had to quit work because of health problems. I now have no insurance. With the help of PPA, I am able to get the medications I need at no cost.
If I had to pay for the meds myself, I would not be able to get them and my blood sugar and blood pressure would probably be way out of range or out of control. I had a brother die from diabetes complications because he had no help at times and I am so thankful that I was not in his situation. Because of the PPA and the help it provides I am able to continue knitting and crocheting, to spend precious time with my son and to LIVE!!!
